Delhi Crime: Fugitive criminal arrested by STF, sent to jail by court


New Delhi. Delhi Police of South East District that STF Team has succeeded in arresting a fugitive criminal. The criminal was declared a fugitive by the court in an accident case under Sangam Vihar police station. Arrested fugitive criminal Shyam Kumar (44), a resident of village Neemka, Gautam Budh Nagar (UP).

Giving information about the matter, South East District DCP RP Meena said that under the supervision of ACP/Operations Umesh Bharatwal, STF, including head constable Umesh Kumar, under the leadership of SI Ram Kumar, formed the team of South East district, declared criminal Shyam Kumar son Ram Kishan, Residents of Village Neemka, Gautam Budh Nagar, UP were to be traced and arrested.

The police team raided his premises several times but he escaped. After this, the police team took the help of secret sources and their mobile number was kept on surveillance. Eventually the police team traced him through his mobile phone and local sources.

The police team caught the criminal in no time on July 20. Sarita Vihar Metro Station Near was arrested from Mathura Road. He was arrested and produced before the court and sent to judicial custody.

According to the DCP, accused Shyam Kumar son Ram Kishan has studied till the third standard. He has no work to earn a living. Was declared a fugitive by the court in the case of FIR No. 1026/2005 section 279/338 IPC registered under police station Sangam Vihar on April 05, 2013.
