According to District DCP RP Meena, in view of smuggling of ganja in the area of ​​South East district, a dedicated team including SI Surendra Kumar, ASI Kripal, Head constable Praveen, Head constable Shravan, Sepoy Vikram, Sepoy Amit, Sepoy Anuj and Sepoy Manoj, SI Ram The team, led by Kumar and under the supervision of Umesh Barthwal, ACP/Operations, was formed to nab the drug peddlers.

According to the DCP, on July 14, secret information was received that two ganja smugglers are carrying drugs in their Tata truck container number HR 38SXXXX from Faridabad Suraj Kund road and they will go towards Pul Prahladpur. Immediately the team swung into action and laid a trap near the CNG petrol pump at Suraj Kund road bridge Prahlad Pur. Around 11 pm, a Tata truck of the same number was seen approaching the police barricades. The police team stopped the said truck and caught the driver.

On enquiry, the driver was identified as Rahul son Sarjuddin resident of village Khera Kuliyaka, Thana Sohna, Distt. Gurugram, Haryana, age 23 years detected. A total of 24 packets of ganja were recovered from the truck during the search.

Hemp packets found hidden in truck driver’s cabin
It has been found in the investigation that the investigation was done by registering a case under the FIR No. 356/21, Section 20/61/85 NDPS Act in the police station Pul Prahlad Pur. During the investigation, a total of 24 packets of 10-10 kg (240 kg) of ganja in 12 plastic bags were seized. Hemp packets were found hidden in the cabin of the driver of the said truck. The accused Rahul has been arrested. Efforts are on to nab his other accomplices.

During police interrogation, accused Rahul disclosed that he is the owner of the said truck. His associate friends had hired his truck for Rs 2.5 lakh for the purpose of smuggling ganja from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. Due to Kovid, his work was not going well and it was very difficult to pay the EMI of the loan. So to earn quick money, he agreed to smuggle ganja in his truck from Andhra Pradesh to Delhi.

Police have recovered a truck and 24 packets containing a total of 240 kg of ganja from the accused. The accused person has been identified as Rahul son Sarjuddin resident of village Khera Kuliyaka, District Gurugram, Haryana, age 23 years, illiterate. He drives his own truck to earn his livelihood. No previous involvement has been found in any case against him.
